Low Profile Tires In Snow

Here are some reasons why low profile tires aren’t a good choice for a snowy day.

As you know low profile tires rotate faster than standard tires, and because of that it’s much harder to get grip on snow. Also wide tires have to plow a wide path through snow to make way, where narrower tires have an much easier time to do that.

Tip: It’s also a good idea to lower your tire pressure when driving in snow to widen the area of rubber that meets the surface and thus get that much more grip.

I’ve added a fun video for you to see what happens when you aren’t using proper tires to drive in snow. Enjoy :)
